MEMORYLANE

When my grandma went to an elderly home I started to notice how her dementia started to take more and more control over her life.
Every time I went visiting her I felt like we had less to talk about or talked about the same things too often.
I had never imagined it would be hard keeping up a conversation with someone you know so well.
When I brought her a very old photo book of her and my granddad when they first met I saw her light up and she did not stop talking about it anymore.

That is why I designed “Memorylane”
A game for people with dementia and their loved ones. Going back in time and reliving old memories. It can be played over and over again on 4 different periods of life. Each period comes with questions and you can bring in photos, music and tactical elements to help bringing back memories.
